Strategic Planning is an organized approach to plan and control the activities of an organization to accomplish specific aims. A strategic plan provides a framework around which to organize and focus your efforts to maximize the chances for success. Effective strategic planning helps to avoid the old adage, “Those who fail to plan, plan to fail”.

Strategic Planning is not just for large companies but also for startups and small businesses looking to grow. Having a good strategic plan is especially important for businesses that wish to seek outside funding.

This short course outlines a process to develop a Strategic Plan for a company or organization flowing “top down” from vision, to goals, strategies and tactics. It is critical that each element reflect the organization and be embraced by the organization in order to be effective.

The course consists of classroom presentations and discussion along with in-class work sessions. Each student will receive the class workbook and worksheets in both hard copy and electronic format for your use in the class and after. By the end of the session, you will have the first draft of your key strategic plan elements and the tools necessary to refine and implement that plan.

                Oct 8, 2026 8:45am to 4pm

# 24 Systems for a Thriving Business

### Build the Structure Your Business Needs to Grow

> “Businesses don’t fail from lack of effort — they fail from lack of structure.”
> — Latrice Knuckolls

Starting and growing a business takes hard work, but hard work alone does not create a sustainable company. Many new entrepreneurs find themselves doing everything themselves while important processes remain undocumented, finances feel unclear, customer experiences vary, and daily operations depend entirely on the owner.
**24 Systems for a Thriving Business** is a hands-on workshop series designed to help entrepreneurs replace uncertainty with structure.
Over two interactive, three-hour sessions, participants will learn the operational framework behind a sustainable, scalable business and begin putting those systems into place. Rather than simply listening to lectures, participants will work on their own businesses throughout the sessions, completing practical exercises, worksheets, and action plans they can begin using immediately.

## Part 1: Diagnose & Build the Foundation

Before you can build the right systems, you need a clear picture of where your business stands today.
Part 1 introduces participants to the complete **24 Systems for a Thriving Business framework**, organized across six essential areas:

* **Leadership & Decision-Making**
* **Operations & Delivery**
* **Financial Management**
* **Client Experience**
* **Marketing & Sales**
* **Growth & Scaling**

Participants will assess their businesses against the framework to identify strengths, gaps, and areas requiring immediate attention.
One of the key exercises is the **Financial Clarity Snapshot**, which helps entrepreneurs take a practical look at their current numbers and better understand the financial health of their businesses.
By the end of the session, participants will know which systems need attention first, why those systems matter, and what steps they should take next.

## What Participants Will Walk Away With

Participants will leave Part 1 with:

* A completed **Business Diagnostic Worksheet** identifying their most important system gaps
* The **24 Systems for a Thriving Business Workbook** in both hard-copy and digital formats
* A completed **Financial Clarity Snapshot** for their business
* A prioritized list of the first systems they should build and why
* A practical action plan for strengthening their business operations
* A homework assignment to document one business process in preparation for Part 2

## A Hands-On Learning Experience

This workshop combines classroom instruction and facilitated discussion with structured, in-class work sessions.
Participants will not simply learn about business systems—they will begin building them.
The goal is for every entrepreneur to leave with greater clarity, practical tools, documented work, and specific next steps they can begin implementing immediately.

## What Participants Should Bring

To get the most from the workshop, participants should bring:

* A laptop or notebook
* Basic knowledge of their business revenue for the past 30 days; exact figures are not required
* An open and honest mindset about where their business currently stands

New entrepreneurs who are still developing their businesses are encouraged to attend. The framework can help establish strong operational habits early, before inefficient processes become difficult to change.

## Your Instructor: Latrice Knuckolls

**Latrice Knuckolls** is the founder of **EvolveWorks Consulting Firm** and author of *24 Systems for a Thriving Business*.
She brings 18 years of experience in business development and strategic planning within Fortune 500 companies, including Synchrony Financial and Henry Schein. During her corporate career, she worked with the operational infrastructure that enables large organizations to operate efficiently, make consistent decisions, and deliver quality at scale.
After seeing talented small business owners struggle—not because they lacked ambition or ability, but because their businesses lacked structure—Latrice founded EvolveWorks to bring institutional-level operational thinking to entrepreneurs and the organizations that support them.
Latrice has been featured in *The Atlanta Voice* alongside Georgia gubernatorial candidate Jason Esteves at a Gathering Spot small business roundtable and has been featured twice in *VoyageATL Magazine*. She delivers workshops and strategy sessions for entrepreneurs and institutions throughout Georgia.
Her work is grounded in one core belief:
**Businesses don’t fail from lack of effort. They fail from lack of structure.**

Theater based leadership brings the skills of the stage to your team, building confidence, creativity and connection through hands on, on your feet learning.**

**The Curriculum: Confidence, Creativity, Collaboration, and Connection.**
Through active, on-your-feet participation, attendees learn the 4 C’s to build the stage presence skills that drive real results — sharper instincts, stronger presence, better outcomes in every room.

**Confidence → Executive Presence. Be heard. Be believed. Be remembered.**
Strengthen your voice and free your body to walk into any room with the clarity and command that make people listen — and follow.

**Creativity → Creative Agility. Think faster than the pressure.**
Stay grounded so you can adapt on the fly instead of freezing. Improv, rehearsal, and eye-contact work turn nerves into fuel.

**Collaboration → Ensemble Leadership. Make the people around you better.**
Practice listening, responding, and building on others’ ideas in real time — so your team moves faster, trusts deeper, and performs at a level no one could reach alone.

**Connection → Genuine Influence. Move people — in the room or on the screen.**
Communicate with clarity, warmth, and intention so your message lands, whether you’re presenting, selling, leading a conversation, or on camera.
**Course Structure:** A 3-hour, hands-on workshop of active exercises and real moments of discovery. Leave with practical tools to build executive presence and genuinely connect with any audience.

**Self-awareness becomes leadership effectiveness when we learn to adapt.**

**In this highly practical session, participants will learn to recognize the needs and tendencies of different DiSC styles and adjust their communication accordingly. We’ll explore how differences in pace, priorities, communication, and approach can create misunderstanding—and how small shifts in our own behavior can dramatically improve connection.**

**Participants will practice strategies for communicating across styles, navigating differences, and building stronger, more productive workplace relationships—without sacrificing authenticity.**

**Facilitated by Sara Bordeaux, PurposedHR will introduce Everything DiSC® on Catalyst™ and how understanding behavioral and communication styles can help leaders better understand themselves, recognize the needs of others, and adapt to build stronger workplace relationships.**

**The iEQ9 Integrative Enneagram provides a framework for exploring the underlying motivations, worldview, and patterns of thinking, feeling, and action that influence how individuals show up in relationships and leadership. Participants will deepen their self-awareness by examining the patterns that shape their responses, strengths, challenges, and interactions with others.**

**Through greater understanding of these internal drivers, leaders can become more intentional in their choices, expand their capacity to adapt, strengthen relationships, and continue their personal leadership development.**

                Dec 3, 2026 8:45am to 12pm

# Nobody Buys a Sales Pitch Anymore

**The 5 problems your business solves, and the questions that get prospects to say them out loud.**

Most owners sell by explaining. They tell people what they do, how long they've been doing it, and why they're better than the other guy. The prospect nods. Says, "Send me some information or can I have a brochure." Then nothing.

And the technician, salesperson or business owner drives home thinking the issue was price. They can't figure out where it went wrong.

The real issue was that the prospect never said their problem out loud, so there was nothing to buy. You can't sell a solution to a problem nobody admitted they had.

This is three hours, hands on, for anybody responsible for the revenue in their business. Solo operators all the way up to $10MM. You don't need a sales background. Bring a pen, because you'll be writing, not typing.

**What we're doing:**

Figuring out the 5 problems your business actually solves. Not your services. Not what's on your website. The problems.
Building a question around each one, so the prospect says it instead of you claiming it.
Working out the two answers you're most likely to get back, and what you say next in both cases. Including the answer you didn't want.

You walk out with all of that on one page, in your own words, about your own business.

I've sold my whole professional life, B2B and B2C. The best questions I ever asked weren't about price or service. They were questions I already knew the answer to, because I knew where the problem always showed up. That's what this workshop is going to build.
